You will undertake records classification, retention and disposal activities,



ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements, and contribute to the delivery of accurate, accessible and well-managed information.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in records or information management who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about maintaining high standards of information governance.What You'll deliverThis is a hands-on role focused on the appraisal, sentencing, disposal and transfer of records within Council's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) environment.
Working across a large and complex information estate, you will partner with business units to ensure records are managed, retained, transferred and disposed of in accordance with Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) requirements and Council policies.This is an exciting opportunity for a records professional who enjoys delivering outcomes, navigating complex information environments and driving projects that make a measurable impact.What you'll doLead records sentencing, disposal and transfer activities within Council's ECM environment.Analyse and assess records against retention and disposal authorities to determine appropriate retention periods and disposal actions.Support the reduction of Council's digital information footprint as part of the OneCouncil implementation.Identify permanent value records and coordinate transfers to Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) in accordance with legislative requirements.Generate reports and undertake detailed document analysis to support disposal programs.Partner with business units to understand recordkeeping requirements and ensure compliant disposal outcomes.Conduct sophisticated searches to discover and retrieve documents to support the disposal programContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the delivery of a modern, scalable information management service.What You'll BringWe're seeking a highly capable records professional who can hit the ground running and bring practical experience delivering large-scale records disposal and archiving programs.You'll be comfortable working in a project-focused environment,
