Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Customer Support Officer.

Contract: Immediate Start

Hourly Pay Rate: $40 p/h + Super

Responsibilities
Provide frontline customer service by responding to resident enquiries via phone, email, online channels, and face-to-face, ensuring professional and timely assistance.
Resolve customer complaints and service requests by investigating issues, providing accurate information, and coordinating with relevant council departments.
Process administrative tasks including data entry, application processing, record management, and maintaining accurate customer information in council systems.
Promote council services, programs, and policies by providing residents with transparent guidance and information about council procedures, facilities, and community initiatives.




Monitor and improve customer experience outcomes by identifying service trends, escalating complex matters when required, and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives.

Essential
2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive workplace
Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
