In this role you will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install machinery and mechanical equipment.
We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong commitment to positively contribute to the success of our organisation.Your duties will include but are not limited to:Conduct regular inspections, tests, and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation performanceDiagnose equipment failures, analyse performance, and implement efficient solutions to machine breakdowns and minimise downtimePerform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and checking performance, to prevent breakdownsPrepare drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical EngineersTroubleshoot mechanical issuesInstall, remove, inspect, and repair mechanical spare parts like bearings, seals on typical mechanical equipmentPerform major overhaul of equipment with or without external contractors and vendorsDisassemble, assemble, observe, repair, test, collect data and prepare reports on equipment, as tasks related to maintenanceMaintain non-electrical safety,



process and utility equipmentPerform power plant rigging, and lifting equipment necessary for safely handling heavy machinery and materialsOptimise mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settingsTroubleshoot process equipment, automation issues that may arise at the manufacturing lineEnsuring that products meet compliance regulationsCarry out work instructions as given by Supervisor, work specifications, equipment operationSupports improvement projectsFabricate and repair metal products and parts by using machine shop tools and equipmentControl downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements, daily equipment inspections, and monitoring machine operational performancePerform duties consistent with established safety rules and proceduresInstall and commission new equipment as directedCommunicate with and supporting engineersUnderstand customer change request and provide scheduleMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and system conditions in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)To be considered for this role, you must have:Trade Qualifications and +5 years proven relevant experienceProficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipmentSkilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong knowledge of troubleshooting technique and problem-solving skillsExtensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairsStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasksPhysically fit and able to work in various conditionsAbility to work well both independently and in a team environmentStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated, organised, punctual and reliableMust have outstanding work ethicsSalary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
