GISS provides a stimulating and supportive environment for both students and educators.Joining GISS means becoming part of an inspiring workplace that values professional growth, creativity, and the joy of teaching.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, deliver, and assess engaging and rigorous lessons aligned with the IB Diploma ProgrammeFoster critical thinking, inquiry, and reflection in line with the IB Learner ProfileDesign and administer assessments in accordance with IB standards and requirementsSupport students' academic, personal, and social developmentContribute to the Theory of Knowledge programme where appropriateCollaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning and curriculum developmentContribute actively to the wider school communityAbout YouThe ideal candidate will:Possess a strong academic background in EconomicsHave experience teaching IB Economics or comparable pre-university coursesBe confident in teaching, or contributing to, Theory of KnowledgeDemonstrate a passion for inquiry-based and concept-driven learningBe committed to high standards of teaching and learning, collaboration, and ongoing professional growthHold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area (Economics, Commerce, or similar)Be accredited to teach in NSW (NESA Accreditation)Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and time management skillsBe a collaborative team player with a willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroomPossess strong classroom management and relationship‐building skillsHold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)Have full work rights in Australia
