Our team works alongside participants, families and allied health professionals to deliver safe, respectful and person-centred care.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting a participant living with a high-level spinal cord injury in Salisbury, Brisbane.This role involves high-complex personal care and requires staff who are confident working within established clinical care routines.
Applicants with spinal cord injury experience are highly encouraged to apply.Available ShiftsMonday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 10:45 AMMonday to Sunday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PMSaturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 11:15 AMMultiple shifts are available, with the chance to build a consistent roster.Key ResponsibilitiesHigh-complex personal careHoist transfers and manual handlingShowering, dressing and groomingPressure area care and skin integrity monitoringMeal preparation and assistanceDomestic assistanceAccurate documentation within ShiftCareMonitoring for signs and symptoms of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)



and responding appropriately in accordance with the participant's care planExperience supporting participants with spinal cord injuriesCompetency with hoist transfers and manual handlingExperience with bowel care, including Digital Stimulation and Enema administration, or willingness to successfully complete Angelic Care trainingKnowledge of, or willingness to learn, the recognition and management of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)Current NDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent First Aid & CPRCurrent Driver's Licence and reliable vehicleStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHighly RegardedCertificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or equivalent), or a relevant health qualificationExperience supporting participants with high-level spinal cord injuriesExperience in rehabilitation, disability support or nursing environmentsMedication competency and other high-intensity support skillsWhy Join Angelic Care?
