Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative Department within the Day Surgery Unit.
We offer flexible employment options to suit your lifestyle, with opportunities available ranging from Permanent Part-Time 24 hours per week to Full-Time 38 hours per week positions.

Our theatre complex provides a diverse and rewarding caseload across a range of specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Endoscopy, and Gynaecology.
The Day Surgery Unit operates Monday to Friday, from 6:30am to 8:00pm, with occasional Saturday theatre lists.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingOur Perioperative Registered Nurses use extensive experience to provide essential support to our patients and Clinical Nurses in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the department and assist with the progression of service improvement.Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocateDemonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journeyProvide effective management of post anaesthesia and postoperative complicationsWorking collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every timeMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued skilled growthAbout youCurrent AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)Considerable demonstrated experience the area in which you are applying forHigh level skills in problem-solving, communication, coordination and time managementBasic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systemsThe ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy, multidisciplinary team environmentMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, and at Rockhampton, we keep things personal and local.
