Grow your expertise in civil maintenance and asset managementCombine inspections, problem solving and hands on field work in this exciting roleFull-time opportunity$76,383 - $81,288 per annum (dependent on experience) plus superannuationAbout the teamThe Civil Maintenance Team looks after Council's civil infrastructure to keep it safe, accessible and working well.
The team works closely with colleagues, contractors and the community to deliver reliable services and maintain public assets.About the roleAs a Civil Asset Inspector, you'll support the upkeep of Council assets through inspections, maintenance and defect management.This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems and making a visible impact in the community.What you'll deliverIn this role, you will:Inspect civil assets such as roads, footpaths, drainage, pits, signage and kerb and channelIdentify defects and record accurate information in Council systemsCarry out minor maintenance works (e.g. pothole repairs, signage fixes, drainage clearing)Raise and track maintenance requests to ensure timely repairsProvide practical advice on asset condition and maintenance prioritiesSupport audits, condition assessments and data collectionWork with team members, contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable outcomesContribute to improving maintenance practices and service deliveryYour skills and experienceYou will bring:Experience with civil infrastructure inspection and maintenancePractical skills to safely carry out minor maintenance works in the fieldKnowledge of civil maintenance and asset management principlesStrong attention to detail and accurate data recording skillsConfidence using mobile devices and systems for inspections and work managementAbility to work independently and manage prioritiesGood communication skills and a customer-focused approachA proactive, solutions-focused mindsetThe right candidate will be able to demonstrate the City of Kingston's values ofWe make a difference ǀ We show care and respect ǀ We take pride in our work ǀ We are better togetherDon't meet every single requirement for this role?
