The prison's primary purpose is to prepare male prisoners for transition, reintegration, and release.
As a working farm with eight separate industries, there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.About the Role:The Record and Property Officer assists in day-to-day operation of the reception discharge functions within a prison environment.Some of your duties will include:Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the reception discharge function of the prison including prisoner records, property and clothingEntering prisoner records and property data in relevant electronic and paper-based record keeping systems in an accurate and timely manner.
This may include PIMS, E Justice and ParadoxPreparing relevant documentation relating to prisoner transfer, classification, release, court appearances, bails and fines.This role will involve weekend work and public holidays.To learn more about this role before applying,



please read the attached position description.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:Knowledge of OH&S; manual handling processes and practicesKnowledge of Corrections Victoria policies and practices relating to reception and discharge operationsThe successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include reference checks, national police checks and misconduct screening.
Dependant on the role, other checks may include VicRoads checks, drivers licence checks, medical checks, Working with Children Checks, and Declaration of Private Interests (for executive and responsible officer roles).
