Warragul Vet is a well‐established, progressive mixed practice located in the heart of West Gippsland.
We are proud to provide compassionate, skilled veterinary care to the local community and surrounding region.
We are now looking for a qualified, experienced full‐time Veterinary Nurse to join our close‐knit and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident all‐rounder who enjoys hands‐on nursing, high standards of patient care, and being part of a friendly, collaborative clinic environment.

About the role
This is a varied, hands‐on nursing role suited to a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is confident working across surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment, floating and reception shifts.
You will be supported by a large veterinary team with a broad skill set across small animal, mixed and dairy medicine.
For nurses with an interest in mixed animal medicine, there may also be opportunities to assist with large animal work.
Key responsibilities




Providing high-quality patient care across hospital and surgical nursingPlacing IV catheters and setting up fluidsMonitoring anaesthetics to a high standardAssisting with pathology, treatments and general nursing dutiesPerforming nurse consultsSupporting reception and client care when requiredContributing to a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture
About you
We are seeking a passionate and empathetic qualified veterinary nurse to join our welcoming team.
You will bring:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician degree (essential)At least 2 years' experience in a busy veterinary practiceStrong, well‐rounded nursing skillsA genuine passion for patient care and client serviceA positive, caring and proactive "can do" attitudeCommitment to contributing to a supportive and positive workplace cultureAvailability to work full‐time, including on‐call shifts (usually two per week) and 1 in 4 Saturdays
