Oppia Wantirna South is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Educator to join our baby room team at our Wantirna South service.
This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to children in our Centre.
As a Lead Educator, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, stimulating learning workplace that supports very young children's development across all areas, whilst leading and mentoring other team members.
This role is central to our mission of providing exceptional childcare and education services that foster children's growth, curiosity and wellbeing.Key responsibilitiesPlan, develop and implement engaging educational programs for very young children that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with the Early Years Learning FrameworkProvide direct care and supervision to children in your designated room or area, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and learning outcomes are prioritizedLead and mentor other educators within your team, supporting their professional development and ensuring consistent quality practicesMaintain detailed observations and assessments of children's development and progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardiansCreate and maintain a safe, clean and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and discoveryBuild positive relationships with families and engage parents in their child's learning journeyCollaborate with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to centre policies and proceduresMaintain compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and accreditation standardsParticipate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your practiceSupport colleagues in identifying and responding to children's individual needs,
