This role will work alongside our current Practice Manager, sharing responsibilities to ensure the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the practice.
The successful candidate will primarily cover the days when the current Practice Manager is not working, while collaborating closely to maintain consistency across all aspects of the practice, including:Management of reception, nursing and GP staffManagement of rosters and leave for all employees and independent doctorsPractice accreditation (due March ****)Liaison with community and external partiesGeneral administration including receptionOverseeing the day‐to‐day operations of the practiceAssist with Business planning and developmentRecruitment of staff including doctors and allied health practitioners, including contract negotiation with future staffpersonalDevelop and Monitor systems, processes and procedures with the ability to recognise and implement changes and improvements as necessaryReporting to practice owner.Maintain and control debtors, creditors, and general ledger to ensure maximum profitability and cash flow and compliance with all taxation,



record keeping and other statutory requirementsLead the human resource function, with a key focus on enhancing and strengthening a high‐performance culture, via systems, recruitment, induction, performance management, team building and ongoing trainingMaintain and nurture a positive environment in which a diverse workforce can grow and developKnowledge of the Medicare system (Services Australia) including billing, batching, online claiming, MBS interpretation and PRODA including PIP protocolsCreate a productive, friendly, and enjoyable work environmentAbility to build a professional relationship with doctors, administration and nursing staff, allied health practitioners, drug representatives, patients and third‐party vendorsAttributes required to be successful in the role;Best Practice experience (Must have).
Works with integrity and honesty at all times.Have the ability to work cooperatively and with autonomy.High attention to detail and must have excellent organisational skills.The Practice Manager is expected to engage with the wider Better Medical group network of practices by attending key meetings, sharing knowledge, and implementing business objectives as directed.
The Practice Manager will make key decisions to ensure the most effective and productive use of resources, supported by and reporting to the clinic owner.The Practice Manager will strive to empower staff through a culture of education and support the group philosophies of teamwork, trust, unity, and respect.Excellent Word and Excel skills.CPR/First Aid.Job Type: Part time - approximately 24 hours a weekPlease Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
