Testing & Quality Engineer - Electrical Switchboard SystemsRMS Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Testing & Quality Engineer to join our team and support the testing, verification, and quality assurance of electrical switchboards.This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical testing experience, a sharp eye for detail, and the confidence to work across engineering and production You will play a key role in ensuring our switchboards, distribution boards, and control panels are built, tested, documented, and delivered to the required standards.Key responsibilitiesConduct functional, electrical, and mechanical testing of main switchboards, distribution boards, and control panelsVerify compliance with relevant standards, including AS/NZS *****, AS/NZS ****, and Victorian SIRsPerform insulation resistance, continuity, torque, protection relay, and operational testingPlan, prepare, and lead Factory Acceptance Testing with customers and project stakeholdersMaintain accurate test records, checklists, reports, and sign-off documentationIdentify non-conformances, complete root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actionsReview drawings, schematics, and BOMs for accuracy and manufacturabilityProvide remote and on-site support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshootingWork closely with engineering and production,



electrical fitters and sheetmetal teamsAbout youTo be successful, you will have:A degree in Electrical Engineering and/or an electrical licenceExperience with switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, or industrial electrical equipmentStrong understanding of Australian electrical standards and safety requirementsExperience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testersThe ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagramsStrong documentation, reporting, and communication skillsA practical, hands-on approach with solid problem-solving abilityWhat we're looking forWe are looking for someone who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and technical excellence.
