We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programmes, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence.
Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialist support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.About the roleAs a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner within The Orange Door Program, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to women, children and families affected by family violence.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will undertake risk assessments, deliver specialist interventions, and collaborate with partner services to promote safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
This role offers the chance to contribute to an integrated service model while maintaining a strong focus on perpetrator accountability and empowering vulnerable communities.Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a fixed-term full-time position, contracted for 12 months, based on-site in Hastings,



VIC.ConditionsCompensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6.How you will make an impactDeliver screening, triage, assessment, crisis response, service planning and targeted interventions to support clients experiencing family violenceConduct risk assessments and identify the needs of women, children, families and perpetrators, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamFacilitate referrals and access to appropriate services, including coordinating allocations, brokerage support and Central Information Point (CIP) requests where requiredMaintain accurate and timely client records within the Orange Door Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and contribute to effective case managementParticipate in ongoing professional development, training and practice initiatives to strengthen service delivery within the Orange Door Hub environmentWhat you will bringTertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science or related field (essential)Meet the Mandatory Minimum Qualifications (MMQ) requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioners - mandatory-minimum-qualifications-specialist-family-violence-practitionersExperience working in the family violence sector (desirable)Demonstrated knowledge of Family and Domestic Violence including context, principles, philosophies, policies, regulations, and legislationAbility to understand and apply Family and Domestic Violence models, approaches, theories,
