About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield
is seeking experienced and motivated
Physiotherapists
to join us on a
casual basis (HP3).
As Mater's first current public hospital in over 60 years, this state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region.
The Physiotherapy team supports public and private patients across the co-located Mater Hospital Springfield and Mater Private Hospital Springfield, delivering care across diverse specialty areas including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, ICU, maternity, NCCU and emergency.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus 25% casual loading
plus superannuation
and

What you'll be doing
As a
casual Physiotherapist
, you will provide patient-centred, evidence-based clinical care to patients across Mater Hospital Springfield.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients across a range of clinical specialties
Provide safe, evidence-based care in line with skilled, departmental, and organisational standards
Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and support patient-centred care planning
Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives, translating research and evidence into practice
Supervise, mentor, and support students, new staff, and allied health assistants.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and reporting
Engage in ongoing professional development and foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence
About you




You are a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care in a collaborative team environment.
You are keen to contribute to service improvement, professional learning, and a positive workplace culture.
You will bring:
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
Experience in an acute hospital setting is essential
Clinical proficiency in a range of specialties across a hospital inpatient and outpatient setting
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support patient care planning
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
Experience in a wide range of specialties, as listed above is highly desirable
