This position contributes to the objectives of the Financial Services department by providing procurement business partnering support to Council teams.
The role works collaboratively with Council teams and suppliers to achieve procurement outcomes which are risk mitigating, best practice and value for money.
The position directly reports to Manager Financial Services.

Procurement Business Partner (This is a part-time permanent position)
Provide procurement and contracting advice and assistance to Council's directorates and divisions.
Manage and keep current registers, logs, and other required documentation.
Continue to develop and refine the documentation which guides and governs the procurement process, including the procurement policy, framework, procedures, templates and purchase order documentation.
Continuously improve the performance of Council's procurement systems and processes
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business or Law, with experience in Procurement support, or equivalent experience to perform at this level.
Experience in a purchasing role, with strong knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
Experience in drafting tender and contract documentation,
report writing.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Effective problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a local, State or Federal government environment is desirable but not essential.
·A valid National Police Certificate, Driver history Check and Medical Clearance which is satisfactory to the Council's requirements will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
