Mildura Health Private Hospital is seeking a motivated and detail-focused CSSD Instrument Technician to join our Central Sterilising Service Department in
either a full time or part time capacity.
Working closely with our perioperative team, you will play an important role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring surgical instruments, reusable medical devices and sterile equipment are prepared to the highest standard.
About the role
As a CSSD Instrument Technician, you will support daily operations by cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilising and distributing instruments and equipment used across our perioperative services.
You will:
Prepare sterile bundles, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures
Care for surgical instruments and reusable medical devices in line with required standards
Clean and maintain the CSSD area according to infection control protocols
Complete CSSD tasks safely, accurately and efficiently
Maintain confidentiality and contribute to a safe, respectful and professional working setting
Be available to work a rotating roster across weekdays, with no weekends or after hours shifts
About you
You are reliable, organised and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
You excel at following procedures, prioritising competing tasks and contributing to a safe, efficient perioperative service.
You have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You must have:
Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this qualification
Current National Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check
Up-to-date required immunisations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
Flexibility and availability to work across required shifts and days
