Role Description
The Ecommerce & AI Automation Manager is a 40hr p/w contract remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing online sales operations and automation workflows.
Day-to-day tasks include managing product listings, pricing, and promotions on ecommerce platforms; monitoring site performance, conversion rates, and customer journeys; and implementing AI-driven tools to automate routine processes such as customer support, marketing campaigns, and inventory alerts.
This role collaborates with marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure consistent branding, accurate information, and efficient order fulfillment.
The manager analyzes data to identify growth opportunities, tests recent technologies, documents processes, and trains team members on ecommerce and AI automation best practices.




Must Have Qualifications (please don't apply if you don't meet the below criteria)
Minimum 3yrs experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, EDI) and skills in managing product catalogs, pricing, and promotions.
Knowledge of AI tools and automation platforms especially Claude Cowork (e.g., chatbots, workflow automation, marketing automation) and the ability to design and maintain automated processes.
Competence in data analysis and reporting, including interpreting sales metrics, conversion rates, and customer behavior to inform decisions.
A minimum Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Reliable laptop and internet connection
Nice To Have Qualifications
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation, process guides, and customer-facing content.
Comfort working remotely, collaborating with a small, agile team and adapting to changing business needs.

12-month independent contractor agreement, flexible 40 hrs/week
Fully remote — work from anywhere
You choose your hours (just hit agreed deadlines for time-sensitive stuff like campaigns and posts)
Pay range $30-$40p/h
