Summary:
We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
This role requires a solid attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of facility operations, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and onsite maintenance, ensuring operational continuity.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and Australian building codes through regular audits and record-keeping.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies
Manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet their needs
Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans
Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications:
Relevant education in facilities management, engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes and workplace health and safety legislation
Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with Maintenance Management Systems, such as MyBuildings, and advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience in managing capital expenditure projects related to facility upgrades and refurbishments.
