About the Role
Ventia is proud to play a key role in the Victoriantransport infrastructure sector and is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager tojoin our Transport Infrastructure Solutions team.
This leadership position is responsible for leading SHEQperformance across the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract, partnering withoperational teams to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance,and drive continuous improvement across road maintenance, asset management andminor capital works delivery.
Working closely with operational leaders, frontline teamsand key stakeholders, you will provide practical guidance, lead assuranceactivities and champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthensafety culture and operational outcomes.
The role supports delivery across the Grampiansregion and Melbourne's eastern suburbs, with flexibility to be based fromour Cremorne, Dandenong or Wendouree offices.
Travel across the contractfootprint will form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote safety, environmental and quality management systems across the contract
Partner with operational leaders to embed SHEQ objectives and drive performance outcomes
Provide coaching, mentoring and expert SHEQ guidance to operational teams
Lead assurance activities including audits,



inspections and compliance reviews
Drive critical risk management initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Monitor and report on SHEQ performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
Support incident investigations and corrective action management
Foster a positive safety culture across field-based and office-based teams
About You
Demonstrated experience in a SHEQ leadership, management or senior advisory role within infrastructure, civil construction, transport, utilities or a related industries
Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher qualification in WHS/OHS or a related field.
Strong capability in influencing operational leaders and building positive stakeholder relationships
Well-developed knowledge of safety management systems, risk management and compliance requirements
Experience leading audits, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Current driver's licence
Good understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
