Clinical Nurse Consultant (Breast Care Nurse)
12-Month Fixed-Term Maternity Leave position
Commencing Monday 24th August 26
0.8 EFT until June 27 then 0.4EFT until end of fixed term

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Breast Care to join our specialist cancer nursing team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave cover.
Working predominantly within the Early Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Consultant team, the successful applicant will play a key role in delivering expert, patient-centred care and care coordination across the breast cancer continuum.
This position provides advanced clinical leadership, supports multidisciplinary care, and contributes to service development and quality improvement initiatives within a leading cancer service.
Some work with the metastatic breast care and breast plastics team may be required.
About the Role
Provide advanced clinical assessment, care coordination and support for patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
Act as a key contact and resource for patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver evidence-based education, information and supportive care interventions.
Facilitate timely access to services and optimise patient pathways.
Contribute to quality improvement, service development, research and professional practice activities.
Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing colleagues and the broader multidisciplinary team.
About You
Current registration with AHPRA
Experience working in a specialist nursing role.
Postgraduate qualifications in Cancer Nursing, Breast Care Nursing, or a related specialty.
Demonstrated expertise in the assessment and management of patients with breast cancer.
Excellent communication, leadership and care coordination skills.
A commitment to patient-centred care, evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
