An experienced Project Manager is required to lead the delivery of a portfolio of Deal & Risk Management Information Systems projects within a leading energy trading organisation.
This is a delivery-focused position for someone who can manage several concurrent initiatives while partnering closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, external vendors and executive leaders.
You will oversee projects from initiation through to implementation, with responsibility for governance, budgets, risks, stakeholder engagement and Agile delivery practices across a complex enterprise environment.
The role would suit an accomplished Project Manager who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and is comfortable engaging with senior leaders while remaining closely involved with delivery teams.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
Project Delivery and Governance
You will manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong governance, clear reporting and executive visibility.
Lead end-to-end delivery across several concurrent projects
Develop project plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements
Monitor delivery against agreed scope, budget and timelines
Maintain RAID registers covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
Ensure alignment with internal governance frameworks and reporting standards
Coordinate business teams, technology teams, vendors and other project stakeholders
Stakeholder and Executive Management
Strong stakeholder engagement is critical, with regular interaction across business, technology and executive leadership groups.
Develop trusted relationships across business and technology functions
Lead workshops, planning sessions and project discussions
Prepare project dashboards, status reports and executive updates
Organise and facilitate Steering Committee meetings
Present project progress, risks, issues and recommendations to senior leaders
Manage competing stakeholder priorities while maintaining delivery momentum
Agile Delivery and Jira
The successful candidate will be confident working in an Agile environment while also maintaining appropriate project governance and controls.
Manage Jira backlogs, project dashboards and sprint reporting




Coordinate backlog prioritisation with Product Owners and delivery teams
Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
Identify and remove delivery blockers
Track sprint progress, performance and delivery metrics
Support continuous improvement across Agile delivery processes
Change and Implementation Management
The position extends beyond traditional project management and requires a strong focus on business readiness, adoption and successful implementation.
Coordinate business readiness and implementation activities
Support change, communication and engagement planning
Assess impacts across business and technology teams
Manage the transition of solutions into production
Monitor project perks and post-implementation outcomes
Escalate risks early and develop practical mitigation strategies

Communicate project progress clearly to different stakeholder groups

Experience and Qualifications
Essential
At least five years of experience managing enterprise technology projects
Strong understanding of recognised project delivery methodologies, including PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent
Proven experience delivering multiple projects concurrently within complex organisations
Strong capability managing project plans, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies
Hands‐on Jira experience across backlog management, reporting and delivery tracking
Experience producing Steering Committee packs and executive‐level reporting
Demonstrated stakeholder management across business, technology and executive leadership
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies with Scrum delivery teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Previous project delivery experience within energy trading, utilities, banking, capital markets or commodity trading
Experience working with Deal & Risk Management platforms or systems
Scrum Master certification or Agile coaching experience
PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent Project Management certification

Consulting or professional services experience
Experience working within complex or highly regulated industries
