About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Corporate Financial Controller to join the team in Crows Nest, NSW.
The Corporate Financial Controller will be responsible for the finance, payroll, banking and share registry administration of the Group's corporate entity.
This role supports a large group of businesses and will work closely with senior executives, business units and the broader corporate finance team.This is a full-time position.Key responsibilitiesResponsible for the financial reporting for the Group corporate entity.
The entity is not income generating and has an overhead base of $30mMonth end reporting for the corporate entity.
Reporting should be completed within 3 days.
As this is a major cost centre, reporting to budget and forecast is a critical process.Assist with Group reporting.
The role will include being part of the corporate team and will be involved in group reporting and projects when requiredProvide commercial, financial and decision support to key internal stakeholdersManage major costs centres including corporate payroll function which currently has around 140 employeesMonthly salary pay cycle.
Currently outsourced to ADP but we plan to bring that in houseExecutive payroll; senior business managers and finance teams.
Handling highly sensitive informationMaintain employee payroll records and master data, including current starters, terminations, salary changes,
leave and deductionsProcess and reconcile superannuation payments in compliance with Payday Super requirementsProcess payroll cost recharges to other Group businessesThe Group has a syndicate facility which multiple bank accountsRole will maintain group cashflow reporting across the groupLiaise with business units regarding cash forecastingSending draw down and repayment notices to our bank (Westpac)Manage banking needs for business units – new accounts, users, credit cards etcMaintain the company share registry and shareholder recordsProcess share purchases, sales and transfers in accordance with company proceduresRespond to shareholder enquiries, including changes to personal details, payment instructions and ownership recordsCoordinate dividend processing, including dividend setup, reconciliation and shareholder communicationsLiaise with shareholders, management and external advisers to ensure the smooth administration of share registry activitiesWhat we're looking forExperienced financial controller working in a corporate team on sensitive areas including executive payroll and group bankingProficient in dealing with sensitive informationExcellent stakeholder management skills.
Will work directly with CEO and CFOExperienced at processing payroll and strong excel skillsComfortable being a self-starter who can work independently with a high level of initiativeMust enjoy working on different projects and able to work in a fast pace environmentVisa sponsorship is not available for this position and applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.
