We are looking for a full time and permanent Project Manager for our Structural & Plate division in Geelong.
Successful candidates will work alongside our team of skilled administrative and production staff to deliver world-class products for well-known clientele.
You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager and proactively engage with Production Managers and Planners to ensure the needs of the organisation and clients are met.Key ResponsibilitiesBe the single point of contact with the client concerning all project aspects and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersProvide skilled direction to the procurement and project team members to ensure all materials and buy-ins, logistics, planning, and allocating resources meet the assigned targetsChair meetings, finalise minutes, manage and close out all RFIs, NCRs, VOs, and general correspondenceForecast potential EOTs and VOs, expediting the program to avoid an EOT where possibleMonitor and provide ongoing tracking of time, quality,



and budget for all individual projectsProvide timely invoice data to the finance team to maintain positive cash flowProvide project closeout report detailing our learning through each projectQualificationsBachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalentA firm understanding and proven track record of executing commercial and technical requirements in structural and/or pressure equipment projectsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomouslyExperience with procuring critical long-lead materials through international channelsA firm understanding of manufacturing techniques and production planningPrevious experience in structural steel manufacturing is highly regardedAdditional InformationWe welcome applications from candidates with proven project management experience in fabrication, heavy industry, or vessel production.
