We are seeking an exceptional National Head of Accountsto join our leadership team in Canberra.

About the Role
Based in Canberra, this office-based national leadership role oversees the Accounts function across the multi state business.
You will lead financial operations, strengthen controls, and deliver consistent, high-quality financial performance across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities
Lead national financial operations including accounting, reporting, BAS and taxation obligations
Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures and internal controls
Coach and lead the Accounts team to build capability and performance
Partner with senior leaders to set KPIs and drive financial accountability




Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions
Manage relationships with auditors, banks and external partners
Ensure consistent financial governance and service delivery nationally
Drive system improvements and operational efficiencies
About You
You are a strategic finance leader who combines technical strength with strong people leadership and commercial thinking.
You will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
CA, CPA or NIA qualification
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation (GST, FBT, income tax, CGT)
5+ years in a senior accounting, finance manager or financial controller role
Proven experience leading teams and complex financial operations
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Facilities ,property or construction sector experience (desirable)
Interest in AI and automation within financial processes (highly regarded)
