Converged Medical Solutions is a managed services provider specialising in cybersecurity and Microsoft 365 solutions for healthcare, government, and commercial organisations across Australia.We are seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to plan, develop, deploy, and optimise network and system services across our client base.
The role takes responsibility for configuration management and operational readiness of network systems — particularly in environments with multiple operating systems and configurations — and provides troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems.
The successful candidate will also coordinate our offshore BPO partner operations and support healthcare clients running clinical practice management systems.
This is a full-time, permanent position.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models, and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of computer systemsResearch, analyse, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performanceAssess and recommend improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications, and operating systemsProvide specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergenciesInstall, configure, test, maintain, and administer recent and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers, and workstationsProvide network programming in support of specific business needs and requirementsPrepare and maintain procedures and documentation for network inventory,

and performance issues specific to clinical software environmentsEnsure healthcare IT environments meet relevant compliance and data security requirementsLiaise with software vendors and healthcare practice managers to resolve application-level issuesBPO Partner CoordinationAct as the primary operational contact for the offshore BPO provider in the PhilippinesMonitor partner performance, quality metrics, and adherence to contractual SLAsConduct regular governance and performance reviews with BPO leadershipLead service improvement initiatives, knowledge transfer, and cross-team trainingMaintain alignment between BPO processes and Converged service standardsRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience of 5+ years)Demonstrated experience in network and systems engineering across enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of network infrastructure design, configuration, monitoring, and optimisationProficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)Experience supporting healthcare practice management software such as Best Practice, Karisma, or similar clinical systemsExperience with cybersecurity frameworks, particularly the Australian Essential EightProficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud servicesExperience coordinating or managing offshore/BPO teams, including performance monitoring and SLA governanceStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across networks, systems, and applicationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and cross-cultural teamsExperience working in managed services or MSP environmentsFamiliarity with Australian healthcare IT compliance requirementsExperience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools and PSA platforms
