About The RoleTaylex Australia is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of month-end reporting and play a genuine commercial partnering role within a manufacturing and stock-based environment.
You'll work closely with operational teams, providing the insight and analysis that supports real business decisions, while strengthening our financial systems and controls.What You'll Be DoingMonth-End & Financial ReportingLead and coordinate the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate completionPrepare monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysisProvide transparent financial commentary on key drivers, risks and opportunitiesInvestigate unusual movements and resolve discrepancies proactivelyEnsure balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed and well documentedIntercompany & ReconciliationsManage intercompany invoicing and reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies in a timely mannerBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisSupport annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processesAnalyse performance against budget and forecast with meaningful insightsContribute to improving forecasting accuracy and financial visibilityCommercial & Operational PartneringPartner with operational teams to provide financial insight and scenario analysisIdentify cost efficiencies and performance improvement opportunitiesBring independent problem-solving and practical,
