DWF Claims Management Australia is looking for a dedicated Claims Account Manager in our Insurance Liability team.
This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney CBD on a full time basis.
Please note, you must be legally qualified to apply i.e hold a Bachelor of Law degree As a dedicated Account Manager, you will look after our Insurer clients which includes:ownership and management of a portfolio of public liability incidents and claimsliaising with relevant stakeholders (Insurer Clients, underwriting agents, brokers, insureds, etc)assessing liability and financial exposure and making recommendations for the future strategy of each claim, whilst achieving a superior result for our customers.ResponsibilitiesOwnership and maintenance of a portfolio of filesEarly and effective liability assessmentAssessment and justification of reserves in line with authority levelsEmploy proactive early intervention strategies to reduce claims costDevelop a strategy for claim resolutionPrioritise tasks to oversee up to 170 claim filesAssessment of recovery prospectsMaintain the client relationship to achieve superior resultsCommunicate effectively with claimants, clients, brokers, investigators, lawyers, and insurers via written and verbal meansDemonstrate effective negotiation and liaison techniques with clients, claimants, lawyers, brokers, insurers and service providersReport to and update relevant stakeholders regarding claims as requiredFacilitate regular and structured contact with clientsCompetent use of systems and processes in claim managementEffective use of systemsUnderstand and adhere to DWF Claims processes and proceduresUnderstand insurance policy coverage and application.Support the achievement of company goals and visionEffective file and claim management to support DWF in meeting objectives and targets (budget,
