About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our growing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Service.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced mental health nurse who has extensive hands-on experience working within a TMS service and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the daily operations of the clinic.
This role is primarily rostered to afternoon shifts (1:00 pm - 9:00 pm).
We are specifically seeking applicants who are available to work this shift on a regular basis.
Flexibility to work additional shifts when required will be highly regarded.
As the ANUM, you will provide clinical leadership, coordinate the day-to-day running of the TMS service, mentor staff, support quality improvement initiatives,



and ensure the delivery of secure and effective patient care.
Please note: Previous TMS experience is mandatory.
Applications without demonstrated TMS experience will not be considered.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the TMS Clinic
Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and determine suitability for TMS treatment
Deliver Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatments safely and effectively
Monitor patients throughout treatment and manage adverse events appropriately
Educate patients regarding treatment expectations, risks and aftercare
Ensure compliance with TMS clinical protocols, policies and accreditation standards
Liaise with Psychiatrists and the multidisciplinary team regarding patient care




Coordinate clinic bookings and patient flow
Maintain TMS equipment and ensure appropriate servicing and stock management
Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities
Assist with staff orientation, education and competency assessments
Support hospital initiatives and continuous service improvement
General Responsibilities:
Actively contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the hospital
Work flexibly on rotating roster requirements
Maintain professional standards and support a positive workplace culture
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Current registration with AHPRA
Psychiatric nursing qualifications or current study towards Mental Health Nursing qualification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Ability to deliver excellent clinical care with a positive attitude
Flexibility to work rotating rosters
Demonstrated desire to continue learning and professional development
Previous experience working in a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) service (Mandatory)
For Registered Nurses (RN):
Postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing
Ability to manage complex clinical situations independently

Compensation & Employment
Salary: $55- $59 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and role level
