Our client is a large and growing business specialising in large-scale townhouse developments, with individual projects typically consisting of ****** townhouses.
With multiple projects spanning from Ipswich through to Logan, they are looking to add an experienced Maintenance Carpenter to their team.This is a fantastic prospect for a Carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong eye for detail.
The role will focus on quality assurance, maintenance and rectification works once townhouse developments have been completed, ensuring each property meets the company's high standards before handover.You will be working across completed residential townhouse developments, identifying and rectifying defects and completing general carpentry maintenance to ensure each townhouse is finished to a high standard.This position would suit a Carpenter who enjoys variety, problem-solving and quality-focused work, rather than being solely focused on new builds.There is also a genuine opportunity for the right person to progress into a Finishes Foreman role, overseeing multiple maintenance carpenters across various townhouse developments.What You'll Be DoingCompleting carpentry maintenance and rectification works across completed townhousesConducting quality assurance inspections and identifying defectsRectifying defects prior to client handoverGeneral carpentry repairs and finishing worksAdjusting doors, frames, skirting,



architraves and other internal finishesRepairing or replacing damaged timber and building componentsCompleting minor cladding and external carpentry repairs where requiredWorking through defect lists and ensuring all works are completed to a high standardWorking alongside site teams and supervisors to coordinate outstanding worksMaintaining a high standard of workmanship, presentation and safetyWhat You'll NeedTo be successful, you must have:Cert III or higher in CarpentryFull Australian working rightsWhite CardFull set of your own carpentry toolsReliable transportSolid residential carpentry experiencePrevious experience in maintenance, defects, rectification or quality assurance works is highly desirableStrong attention to detail and pride in your workmanshipStrong problem-solving skillsStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeExcellent reliability and punctualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat's On Offer$45–$50 per hour + Super, depending on experienceFull-time permanent employment directly with our clientFuel allowance card may be negotiated depending on experienceMultiple projects across the Ipswich–Logan corridorConsistent work across large-scale townhouse developmentsPredominantly on-the-tools positionGenuine career progression into a Finishes Foreman role, overseeing multiple maintenance carpentersLong-term opportunity with an established residential developerThe successful candidate will initially complete a 1–2 week trial period on a labour hire arrangement through Core Talent.Following a successful trial period, you will transition directly into full-time employment with our client.
