This role is integral to our operations, as you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards whilst ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
As a Motor Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our business, delivering quality workmanship and contributing to the reputation of our garage within the local community and beyond.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical expertisePerform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections and fluid top‐upsRepair and replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems and electrical systemsConduct pre‐and post‐repair inspections to ensure work meets quality and safety standardsMaintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and labour hoursCommunicate effectively with customers regarding repair requirements, timelines and costsFollow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environmentKeep up to date with new vehicle technologies and repair techniques through ongoing professional developmentWork collaboratively with other team members to complete repairs efficiently and to scheduleWhat we're looking forCompletion of an apprenticeship in automotive mechanics or equivalent qualification recognised by industry bodiesCurrent Australian driver's licence (manual preference)Minimum 3 years' experience as a Motor Mechanic in a qualified workshop environmentProficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools commonly used in automotive repairStrong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes,
