If you have a passion for maintaining high safety standards and possess the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.Key factsLocation: Carole Park, QueenslandEngagement: ContractWhat you'll doConduct thorough assessments of construction sites to identify potential height safety risks and recommend appropriate safety measures.Install and maintain height safety systems, including guardrails, safety nets, and fall arrest systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop and implement safety plans tailored to specific projects.Provide training and guidance to site personnel on the proper use of height safety equipment and the importance of adhering to safety protocols.Perform regular inspections of height safety equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations, addressing any issues promptly.Document all safety inspections, incidents, and maintenance activities, maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.Assist in the development of safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, to support project safety initiatives.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in height safety, ensuring that your knowledge remains current and relevant.Participate in safety meetings and contribute to discussions on improving safety practices and culture within the organization.Respond to safety incidents and emergencies on-site,



providing immediate assistance and ensuring that protocols are followed.Liaise with external safety auditors and regulatory bodies as required, ensuring that all safety practices meet or exceed legal requirements.Foster a proactive safety culture on-site, encouraging all team members to prioritize safety and report hazards.RequirementsProven experience in height safety, with a robust understanding of relevant regulations and standards.Certification in height safety, such as Working at Heights or equivalent, is essential.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess risks effectively.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey safety information clearly.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights safely and effectively.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.Nice to haveAdditional certifications in safety management or related fields.Experience with specific height safety equipment brands or systems.Previous experience in construction or related industries.Familiarity with safety management software and documentation practices.Skills & toolsProficiency in using height safety equipment and tools, including harnesses, lanyards, and anchorage systems.Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the construction industry.Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.Familiarity with safety inspection and reporting tools.Practical notesThis role is based in Carole Park, Queensland, and may require travel to various job sites within the region.The contract duration and specific working hours will be discussed during the interview process.Competitive compensation will be offered, commensurate with experience and expertise.Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and may need to provide proof of relevant certifications and qualifications.
