As an experienced Oral Health Therapist, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred oral health services that achieve the best possible health outcomes for Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) eligible clients.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will practise to your full scope, with adult scope of practice highly desirable, across a variety of clinical settings.This role provides the chance to work across our fixed dental clinic sites in Moe, Morwell, and Warragul,
as well as in community outreach programs such as Smile Squad.Working at the highest level of Oral Health Therapist practice, you will demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and professional expertise while providing comprehensive oral health care.
You will also support the development of the profession by supervising dental and oral health university students during their clinical placements and providing mentoring, clinical guidance, and support to newly graduated Oral Health Therapists and Oral Health Educators.Your work will include:Provide oral health therapy services to eligible clients in fixed and outreach locationsAssist with the development and delivery of oral health screening and education sessions tailored to specific population groups as requiredMaintain accurate records, documentation and reports related patient careSupervise dental and oral university students in the student clinics and Smile Squad as directedMentor and supervise in clinics newly graduated Oral Health Therapists/EducatorsWhat you'll need:Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy (adult scope preferred)Current AHPRA registrationUse licence for radiation sources issued by the Victorian State GovernmentA current Victorian Drivers LicenceA current Working with Children Check (Employee)What we're looking for:Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and skills in oral health therapyExperience in Smile Squad program deliveryDemonstrated time-management and organisation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide constructive feedback to studentsAdjustments with emotional intelligence and self-confidenceWhat's in it for you?
