A busy criminal law firm based in North Melbourne seeks a full time lawyer(relevant experience preferred) to become a valued member of our small team.

We operate weekdays between the hours of 9am-6pm and provide a friendly working workplace.

Responsibilities include:
appearing invarious hearings in theChildren’s Court, Magistrates’Courtand County Courts on a daily basis;
having autonomous conduct of criminal files in both the summary and committal streams;
liaising with clients, Court staff, Prosecution agencies and various external organizations; and
Instructing and working closely with Barristers.

Skills required:
robust advocacy skills;
excellent written, interpersonaland communication skills;
proven experience in administrative, professionaland/or legal roles; and
ability to travel to different courts (driver licence required).
