As a Procurement Manager, you'll be supported by a skilled and experienced team to help you quickly get up to speed with our streamlined systems and processes.About the RoleAs the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the quality standards that have earned us our awards.
Your responsibilities include:Understanding modular design and project site conditions to ensure projects are costed effectivelyConduct competitive tenders of packagesDevelop project specific scopes of worksUndertaking detailed project take offs for supplier and subcontractor engagementMaintaining and updating labour and materials catalogue's within an estimating programLetting trade and supplier packages in accordance with set budgetsNegotiate with subcontractors to develop the most competitive rates for the businessCold call subcontractors / suppliers to build the procurement field available to the businessBuilding new and strong relationships with supplier and subcontractorsEngaging with Engineers, Certifiers and designers to identify more productive building methodsDeveloping the companies supply chain to ensure it is more robust and reliableWork closely with the estimating department to ensure cost over runs or savings are included in future tenders.The Successful CandidateThe successful candidate should be able to demonstrate;Experience in completing construction project take offs to facilitate project procurementExperience in quoting, compiling and comparing trade and supplier packages ready for engagementAbility to build relationships with suppliers and negotiate commercial termsPassionate and self-driven to look for cost efficiencies at all timesGenuine enthusiasm to identify alternative procurement methodsTrack record of at least 3+ years in the construction industryExperience as a contract administrator would be beneficialExperience in Premier Accounting software beneficialExperience with Cost X is beneficialExperience in managing the procurement of multiple projects simultaneously is beneficialEstimating experience nice but not essentialExperience in modular nice but not essentialThe Benefits$110k Base incl Super (negotiable on experience)Exciting role with an award-winning teamOpportunity to join a business at early growth stage and lead the design team
