Benton Rise Farm is a unique destination - part working farm and farm gate, part café and part community destination where great food, local produce and genuine hospitality come together.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader who can make the farm gate and cafe space their own and support our amazing, caring team and continually improve the way we operate.

This is more than a café management role.
You'll work collaboratively with the owners to support our team, strengthening systems and creating an environment where staff feel valued and inspired to maintain high standards and customers feel like they are stepping into their home away from home.
Farm, Retail & Cafe Team Lead
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role.
You will be working on the floor with the team and be just as adept making your way through a consistent line of 16 coffee orders as you are sitting behind a computer developing a new SOP or checklist.
Lead and support our café and retail team
Preparation and planning for the week ahead including checking stock levels, customer orders and events.
Develop and implement practical systems and procedures




Overseeing the overall look and feel of the various zones at the property to ensure all areas present cleanly and tidily at all times
Weekly prep including correctly receiving deliveries for both the produce shop and cafe, unpacking, displaying and storing produce to maximise freshness while ensuring displays are clearly labelled, full and attractive, maintaining accurate inventory records and minimising wastage.
Supporting management with regulatory compliance and requirements.
Supporting management with projects
Improve workflows and operational efficiency
Help maintain exceptional customer service standards
Coach, mentor and develop team members
About You
You'll have:
Leadership experience in hospitality, retail and/or cafés with first aid, food handling and other appropriate certificates
Be a whiz barista, confident behind a coffee machine during sustained busy times.
Ability to multi-task, fore-plan and lead the team in a fast-paced environment.
A soft spot for animals, kids, the outdoors, good food, a good laugh, good music and not take yourself too seriously.
