The role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Operations Officer (Forklift) to join our team at our Berrimah, NT site.
This is a permanent part-time position, working two days per week (8:00am to 4:00pm).
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll work both indoors and outdoors across a variety of terrains, including gravel surfaces, supporting the movement and storage of vehicles within our salvage operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a 7-tonne forklift to load, unload, and relocate vehicles safely throughout the site.
Move vehicles within operational areas and on open loading pads to support insurer customer requirement.
Record stock movements and conduct vehicle stocktakes using handheld technology.




Maintain organised and efficient vehicle storage areas within the salvage yard.
Contribute to a safe, clean, and productive working environment.
About You
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
You'll also bring:
A current Forklift Licence (LF) and Australian Driver's Licence.
A strong commitment to workplace safety and safe operating practices.
Basic computer literacy and confidence using handheld technology.
The ability to work effectively in outdoor operational environments.
Previous experience in forklift operations, stock control, yard operations, or vehicle handling (desirable).
Knowledge of or interest in the automotive or insurance industries (desirable).
Current First Aid certification (desirable).
As part of the recruitment process, you must be willing to complete background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
Please note that random drug and alcohol testing is conducted onsite.
