Central Coast Council is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and caring individuals to join our Education and Care team as a
School Based Trainee Educator (Certificate III)
.
This exciting school-based traineeship is open to students commencing Year 11 in **** who wish to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care as part of their HSC.
Successful candidates will earn while they learn, working one paid day per week in a supportive childcare environment alongside experienced educators, with additional days available during school holidays.
The program totals 100 working days over two years and includes support toward formal online training with the chosen Registered Training Organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The goal of the school-based traineeship is to obtain the knowledge, skills and competence through formal studies and on-the-job training to finish school with a nationally recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.

General Information
The Traineeship program requires the successful applicants to enter a Training Contract for two (2) years commencing in January ****.
As a School Based Trainee Educator, you will assist in delivering quality education and care programs that support positive learning outcomes for children.
Working under the guidance of experienced educators, you will gain practical skills and industry knowledge while completing your qualification.
Please note that employment beyond the term of the Traineeship is neither automatically offered nor guaranteed.
Essential Criteria
Willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
Ability to provide evidence of required vaccinations (Boostrix, MMR and Hepatitis A & B) or commence the vaccination program prior to commencement.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
Be an Australian Citizen or granted permanent residency status

Offer Details
The commencing salary range for this position is between $***** to $***** per hour ($****** to $****** per week) dependent on age and school qualifications plus 12% superannuation
We have two temporary part-time roles available
These roles are located Coastal Kids Terrigal and Coastal Kids Northlakes
Ability to work a variety of shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday as rostered with additional hours available during school holidays.
