Position Overview
The Rostering team plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of staff to meet participant needs.
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining rosters, liaising with staff and participants, and ensuring compliance with service agreements and organisational policies.
This position is 9:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Roster Management
Develop and maintain accurate staff rosters, ensuring coverage aligns with participant requirements and preferences.
Monitor and adjust rosters to accommodate changes, such as staff availability, participant cancellations, or emergencies.
Coordinate with assistant service coordinators and service coordinators to address rostering challenges promptly.
Communication
Liaise with staff regarding their shifts, availability, and changes to schedules.
Ensure participants are informed of any changes to their scheduled services in a timely and professional manner.
Act as the primary point of contact for rostering-related queries from staff and participants.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure rosters comply with award requirements, service agreements, and organisational policies.
Maintain accurate records of staff availability,
hours worked, and shift changes.
Generate reports on rostering metrics for management review.
Problem-Solving and Support
Address rostering conflicts or issues promptly and efficiently.
Collaborate with payroll and other administrators to manage leave requests and resolve staffing gaps.
Provide support during audits by ensuring all rostering records are up-to-date and accurate.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
:
Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or administrative roles.
Proficiency in rostering software (Currently we use MYP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Desirable
:
Knowledge of industry-specific awards and compliance requirements.
Experience in the disability or community services sector.
