Location: Wangara, Perth WA

Salary: $81,000 - $109,000 + Superannuation
About the Chance
We are seeking a motivated and driven
Business Development Coordinator
to join a proudly Indigenous-owned civil and electrical contractor based in Wangara.
Supporting projects across the
Resources, Infrastructure, and Defence sectors
, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to meaningful Indigenous participation outcomes.
This is a hands-on position that provides genuine scope to influence business development strategies, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
About the Role
As the Business Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's growth by:
Identifying and pursuing recent business opportunities
Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
Supporting tender submissions and pre-contract activities
Assisting in the development of local content and Indigenous participation strategies
Preparing capability statements, proposals, and business development documentation
Supporting engagement activities with First Nations communities and stakeholders
Contributing to meaningful and sustainable Indigenous participation outcomes
Working collaboratively with leadership to support strategic growth initiatives
About You
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about relationship building and creating positive community outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
Identified as a First Nations Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander)
3-5+ years' experience in business development, sales coordination, account management, or a similar role
Experience developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
Experience or understanding of Indigenous engagement practices
Exposure to structured engagement frameworks such as IAP2 will be highly regarded
Candidates with a strong administration background and a professional, positive personality are also encouraged to apply.
Mandatory Requirements
Valid Australian working rights
Current driver's licence
Ability to provide 100 points of identification
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
38-hour work week
