The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of construction materials, plant, and equipment to and from project sites across Perth, Western Australia.
This role involves operating heavy vehicles, loading and unloading machinery, conducting pre-start inspections, identifying equipment defects, and ensuring compliance with all workplace health, safety, and transport regulations.

What you'll be doing
Operate trucks to transport construction materials, plant, equipment and machinery to and from project sites throughout Western Australia.
Drive trucks safely and efficiently while complying with road transport regulations, company procedures and site requirements.
Load, transport and unload heavy machinery and equipment, including excavators, bobcats/skid steers, plate compactors and other construction plant and attachments.
Conduct daily pre-start and post-operational inspections of trucks,
trailers and machinery to ensure they are safe, roadworthy and fit for operation.
Perform regular vehicle inspections and quality checks, identifying mechanical faults, defects, wear and tear, fluid leaks, tyre issues and other maintenance requirements.
Report all truck, machinery and equipment defects directly to the Project Manager and complete the required documentation.
Secure, restrain and cover machinery, equipment and materials to prevent loss, damage or movement during transportation.
Comply with workplace health and safety requirements during all loading, unloading and transportation activities.
Obtain proof of delivery, delivery dockets and any required certifications from customers or site representatives.
Maintain accurate records relating to vehicle inspections, pre-start checklists, deliveries, transportation activities, maintenance requirements and defect reports.
Complete delivery schedules and transport tasks within designated timeframes.
Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site inductions as required.
Follow company policies, site procedures and all relevant workplace health and safety legislation.
Work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors, operators and other team members to support construction operations.
What we're looking for
Valid Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) or higher licence (or equivalent overseas licence that can be converted)
Minimum 1 year experience driving heavy vehicles / trucks in a commercial setting
Experience with loading/unloading construction or plumbing materials preferred
Knowledge of workplace health and safety, load securing and weight limits
Reliable, punctual, with a clean driving record
Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery records
