About
the RoleThe City is seeking an experienced Transport
Engineer / Planner, to fill a new role in the Traffic Services
team.
This position is responsible for:
Development and
management of the City's Transport Plan and Active Transport
Plan
Assessing the Transport
implications of Structure Plans and Development
Applications
Development and
management of the City's Road Network Capacity Improvement
Programme, including grant submissions and management of Design
Consultants
About
you As a collaborative member of the Traffic Services
team, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing
technical advice.
They must be an adaptable, experienced
Transportation Engineer or Planner.
They must also thrive working
in a very busy and change driven organisation.
As such, applicants
must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter
that they meet the following capabilities:
Appropriate
Qualification in Transport Planning, Urban Planning or Civil
Engineering, with
Demonstrated experience
in a traffic, civil engineering design or transport planning
role
Knowledge of relevant
legislation, standards and codes,
Effective communication
and stakeholder management skills,
C Class
Drivers Licence
