Overview:Role: Infrastructure EngineerClient: Australian Federal PoliceProposed Rate & term - $155 per hour including Super | 36 month contractLocation & work arrangements - Canberra | Hybrid, 3 days in officeSecurity Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 Clearance (AFP Specific)
Our role:Our role is to enforce Commonwealth and Australian Capital Territory criminal law and protect the Commonwealth's interests from criminal activity in Australia and overseas.
We work closely with domestic and international partners to combat complex transnational serious and organised crime, which poses a serious threat to Australia's national security.
Under the Australian Federal Police Act **** (Cth) (AFP Act) the AFP investigates state offences with a federal aspect, in partnership with domestic partners.
The AFP uses its policing insights to engage effectively with the government, partners and the community to promote awareness and resilience.Our operating environment

Key duties and responsibilities
The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under supervision by nominated AFP personnel, include, but are not limited to, the following:Work together with AFP business users and system engineers to improve and optimise the implementation, use and management of analytic based business solutions.Collaborate with AFP staff to diagnose and resolve operational and technical problems.Actively engage with staff and business-led IT areas to leverage solution expertise and contribute positively to expanding the AFP's knowledge base.Actively participate in platform configuration planning and management.Actively alert AFP management to any design, build, testing and quality risks, assumptions and dependencies that may be identified.Produce overall system design / implementation documentation and relevant procedures / policies.Perform technical assessment, design, configuration and deployment of new capabilities in the data platform spaceEnforce and adhere to all levels of compliance in the ICT environment.Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other teams
As part of the services,
the seller must ensure the specified personnel:Maintains currency in information technology processes and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development.Establishes and maintains effective business relationships and professional networks.Contributes to and implements improved ICT practices and procedures.Provides mentoring, coaching and training.Works effectively in a small team environment, and wider Command setting.Remains accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, shares own expertise with others and guides and mentors less experienced buyer employees; andRecords and maintains files/information in accordance with buyer requirements.

The AFP reserves the right to engage further suppliers for the same services if required utilising this RFQ.
Any offer of engagement will be made within 6-months of the RFQ release date.
