We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Driver to join the Hela team at our Braeside, Melbourne, facility.
This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations.
You will be responsible for supporting the smooth flow of goods through our Food Ingredient Blending facility, operating forklifts, sampling and picking goods, and ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with health and safety standards.
Your work will directly contribute to our ability to serve our customers effectively and maintain our reputation as a leading Food Ingredient provider.
Key responsibilities
Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack and retrieve goods within the warehouseAssisting with the loading and unloading of vehiclesOrganising and maintaining warehouse stock, ensuring accurate inventory managementPreparing goods for dispatch, including picking, packing and labelling items according to ordersConducting regular checks on warehouse equipment and reporting any maintenance issuesSupporting the wider warehouse team to meet daily activities and deadlinesMaintaining a clean and tidy warehouse environment to ensure safety and efficiency
What we're looking for




A valid forklift licencePrevious experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is highly desirableA strong commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace regulationsPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks regularlyExcellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing stock and processing ordersStrong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleaguesReliability and punctuality, with a positive attitude towards workThe ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlinesA valid driver's licence is advantageousA knowledge of SAP business 1 would be advantageous
