This is a full time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles in a professional and supportive workshop environment.
You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
This role is integral to our reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service in the automotive industry.What you'll be doingConducting comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical issuesPerforming scheduled maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and tyre rotationsRepairing and replacing worn or faulty components such as brakes, suspension, engines, and transmission systemsReading and interpreting technical service manuals, repair procedures, and diagnostic equipment documentationCommunicating effectively with customers to explain repairs, provide quotations, and manage expectationsMaintaining accurate and detailed service records and work documentationEnsuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant legislative requirements and workshop standardsContributing to a clean, organised and safe workshop environmentWorking collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient workshop operationsWhat we're looking forA recognised qualification in automotive mechanical engineering or light vehicle mechanics (Certificate III or IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)Proven experience working as a light vehicle mechanic, ideally in an independent workshop or dealership environment,
