We are looking for a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our production team.About the roleReporting to the Production Manager, you will fabricate signage components and structures from mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum — working from shop drawings through to a finished product ready for paint, powder coat and installation.Day to day you will:Fabricate sign frames, lightboxes, pylon structures, brackets and mounting hardwareMIG and TIG weld aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel to a high finish standardRead and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications and cut listsMeasure, mark out, cut, fold, drill, grind and lines to toleranceAssemble and trial-fit structures,
including housings for illuminated and LED componentsPrepare completed work for surface finishing and dispatchCarry out quality checks against specification before sign-offMaintain a clean, safe and organised work area and comply with all WHS requirementsAbout youEssentialTrade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator), or equivalent demonstrated experienceProven MIG and TIG welding ability, particularly on aluminumConfident reading and working directly from technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and pride in finish quality — signage is a visual product and welds are often seenReliable, safety‐focused, and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a small teamFull working rights in AustraliaHighly regardedPrevious experience in signage, sheet metal or architectural metal fabricationForklift license, EWP (yellow card) and/or Construction Induction (White) CardExposure to CNC routing, folding equipment or powder coat preparationWhat's on offerFull-time, ongoing position with a reliable, long-established Australian business$80,000 – $90,000 + superannuation, based on experience and trade qualificationConsistent hours with overtime availableWell‐equipped workshop and on‐site parkingGenuine variety — no two jobs are the sameA close-knit production team with long‐tenured tradespeople3.
