Members and guests enjoy these events in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by exceptional dining, friendly service, and outstanding value.As part of our continued growth, and following the recent acquisition of our sister venue, Sporties Taree (formerly Taree Leagues Sports Club), we are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our team.Working closely with our Venue Manager at Sporties Taree, you will play a key role in developing and delivering marketing initiatives, coordinating engaging events, and helping grow and connect with our thriving membership base of more than 7,000 members.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised marketing professional to make a meaningful impact across two well-established community clubs.What You'll Be DoingManaging function enquiries from first contact through to booking confirmationConducting venue tours and converting enquiries into bookingsBuilding function revenue across all venuesGrowing corporate events, birthdays, celebrations and weddingsCreating and managing social media contentCapturing content across our venues using your phone,



camera or other toolsUpdating website content and event informationDigital media content creation, management and growthPreparing the club's annual report and distribution to members.Manage in-house advertising including visual displays and promotional collateral.Being present during major promotional nights / club events to publish live social media content.Working closely with our Venue Manager / Secretary Manager.Identifying current opportunities to drive venue traffic and revenueWhat We're Looking ForHospitality experience is essentialExperience in functions, events, marketing or hospitality managementStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA self-starter who doesn't need constant supervisionConfident communicators who love working with peopleComfortable creating content and managing social mediaResilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational skills and attention to detailCurious, adaptable and willing to embrace new technology and AI toolsSomeone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and being around venuesSuccess in this role requires exceptional organisational skills and a proactive approach to planning.
You will be responsible for scheduling marketing campaigns and advertising well in advance, ensuring timely, accurate and engaging communication with our members across multiple channels.This position is offered on a casual basis, with approximately ***** hours per week initially.
As the role evolves, there is potential for additional hours and the opportunity to progress into a more permanent position.
