Haileybury is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to lead our Individual Needs team at our Berwick campus.
In this pivotal role, you will champion best practices in differentiated learning, support students with diverse educational needs, and collaborate with staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Join a school that values innovation, professional growth, and the wellbeing of every learner.Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary role of the Head of Individual Needs is to support the learning needs of students from Prep to Year 12.Utilise data to identify students requiring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide professional guidance to staff on setting appropriate goals for these students.Regularly monitor and ensure that IEPs are kept up to date.Identify students with individual needs and assist staff in recognising these students, while coordinating campus-wide screening tests, collecting, and analysing data in line with Haileybury's screening test program.Engage in resource planning and management to advocate for students requiring disability funding.Collaborate with Haileybury Psychologists to ensure that students in need of assessments or ongoing psychological support receive the necessary services.Coordinate referrals to external specialists, such as speech pathologists, physiotherapists, psychologists, Teachers of the Deaf, occupational therapists,



behavioural optometrists, and other relevant providers.Work with relevant staff to plan and manage Program Support Meetings (PSGs).
Participate in campus-based Pastoral Care Meetings to provide updates on students with special needs and disabilities and recommending appropriate curriculum modifications or differentiation strategies.For a detailed list of responsibilities, please refer to the Position Description available on the Haileybury Careers page.About YouHaileybury is seeking outstanding professionals who exemplify collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
