They are now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their professional team in their Brisbane office.The Commercial Manager will lead the contract, commercial and cost / risk management through the delivery phase and through this, contribute towards project outcomes being delivered in a safe and integrated way within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.You will be responsible for leading and managing allocated project resources, including consultants and contractors, across a multi-disciplinary team.You will be working closely with the Project Director to deliver project outcomes.
You will lead all commercial and contract management activities during the project delivery phase.
This includes managing budgets, risks, contracts, and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget,



and to required quality standards.Main ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a multi-disciplinary team (including consultants and contractors)Ensure team resources are effectively utilisedManage contracts throughout the delivery phaseEnsure all parties meet their contractual obligationsOversee all commercial aspects including payments, cost audits, and reportingLead budget management and cost controlManage project costs, including contracts and contingencyMonitor financial performance and reportingTrack project progress and report on risks, issues, and variationsDevelop and implement mitigation strategiesAddress complex commercial, legal, and environmental risksAct as a key escalation point for complex issuesProvide strategic commercial advice to senior leadershipPrepare and deliver presentations for governance and reportingPromote a safe work setting and positive team cultureBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSupport collaboration across project teams and interfacesSkills & CapabilitiesStrong leadership and decision-making abilityExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to manage complex commercial and project delivery issuesProven ability to drive accountability and project outcomesExperience working in integrated project teamsQualifications & Skills10+ years' experience in commercial delivery of rail projects or other transport infrastructure projectsStrong experience in brownfield environmentsManaging high-value contracts ($200M–$300M+)Experience with alliance or collaborative contracting models or Design & Construct Incentivised Target Cost contracting models would be greatExperience working on projects in QueenslandThis is a permanent position providing a great opportunity to work with an established organisation who offer challenging work.If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for,
