We are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
As a Quantity Surveyor at FSC, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects, including infrastructure projects for various clients in the road, rail, marine and utilities as well as buildings and energy sector projects.You will play a key role in the commercial and financial management of projects, working closely with Project Managers and Commercial Managers.
You'll contribute across all phases of the project lifecycle - from procurement and contract administration through to closeout and final accounts.You will work with our clients and other FSC team members to plan, deliver and hand over projects throughout Victoria.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissionsMonitor and manage project costs, budgets, and cashflow to maintain accurate financial performanceProcure and administer subcontracts including the monthly claim process in accordance with delegated authorityAssess and manage variations, progress claims, payment schedules, and subcontractor invoicesConduct cost forecasting, financial reporting and end-of-month commercial reviewsAssist in procurement of materials and ensure accurate record keeping for cost trackingContribute to project planning, cost risk analysis, and resource allocationDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholdersSupport contractual compliance including reviewing, interpreting and administering contract termsYou will be a motivated and proactive quantity surveyor with the right combination of energy and a commitment to learning.

and have ambition to design your own career path.You will also haveA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or another construction-related degree5 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projectsChartered with RICS and/or AIQS or registered and actively working towards obtaining ChartershipStrong understanding of major contract forms (AS****, AS****, NEC, etc.)Excellent commercial and financial acumen with strong attention to detailAbility to work with multiple discipline projectsStrong interpersonal skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of innovative client solutionsBe willing and open to partaking in Business Development activities and drive further business for FSCWe are a growing consultancy business led by experienced professionals who are passionate to see a change in how engineering projects are delivered.We are a big believer that a great company is made up of great people and we intend to grow our business through the hiring of other excellent individuals.
