This initial contact is a crucial part of the help-seeking process and the intake team wholeheartedly recognise the significance of this moment.
The intake team are the lifeblood of our organisation and are held in high regard as they set the tone for clients engaging in our service.Your primary responsibility will involve speaking on the phone to many different types of people seeking mental health support, recommending a suitable therapeutic fit for the client, and empowering them to book an initial appointment with a quality assured therapist from our network of private practices.You can learn more about our service by visiting an intake consultant,



a meaningful impact looks like:Building trust quickly with clients over the phone and emailSimplifying complex information to make the process simple and achievableTailoring your approach and recommendation so that each client feels confident in making the best decision for their specific needsApplying problem-solving skills and directive communication to navigate personal and practical barriers that might prevent clients from getting therapeutic supportUsing your energetic and intuitive communication skills to activate clients into taking a step forward into actionIdentifying efficiencies and optimising your workflow so that you can assist as many people as possible while maintaining a high standard of careCompleting administrative duties efficiently and accurately to ensure the experience of attending a first counselling appointment is effortlessAre you the right fit?
(Key Selection Criteria)Our intake call centre office is based in Balwyn, Melbourne and this is an office-based only role.The intake team work across a flexible 7-day rotating roster.
All team members are required to be available to work evening shifts (until 8:00pm) and weekend shifts (9:00am-5:30pm), to share these shifts across the team.
We are looking for team members who can work at least 2 shifts a week.As a successful Intake Consultant, you:Are an energetic communicator and have an engaging phone mannerAre driven to achieve excellence: experience in meeting and exceeding high performance standardsWill thrive working autonomously in a fast-paced, highly principled and growth-oriented team environmentCan think on your feet and quickly troubleshoot problemsRelish asking for, receiving, and offering constructive feedback to meet personal bestsExhibit a high level of emotional intelligence in looking after clients and caring for yourself; know-how in optimising one's own mindset and health to achieve great communication with othersConfidence using digital tools,



CRMs and software in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail in efficiently managing competing demands in a high-volume environmentNo qualifications in the field of mental health are necessary as we do not complete a clinical intake interview or provide any therapeutic intervention.
Success in the role requires the highest standards of client care, emotional intelligence and communication expertise.

Intake Consultants are highly esteemed and valued within the business, as it is a role that requires a specific skillset and has a huge positive impact when done well.Attractive no cap incentives will be paid based on performance in addition to the hourly base rate of $33.
When including commissions, average earnings work out to be around $*****-$53/hour.We are a small team who are invested in each other's success.
